If anyone's interested in local East African music, this guy traveled around Uganda and Rwanda making recordings of local music in 2006. It was recently released, and you can now buy the album for a donation of your choice here: http://ensigo.bandcamp.com/album/east-africa-in-binaural?autoplay=true
All proceeds go to Ensigo, an organization that "empowers African musicians to utilize one of their continent’s greatest resources (music) to creatively overcome all forms of human poverty". Go check out their website here, it seems like a great organization.
